Russian court bans Church of Scientology because it is 'not a religion'
Russian media report that the church tried to register 'Scientology' as a trademark Adam Withnall, The Independent 24 Nov 2015
A court in Russia has banned Moscow's Church of Scientology, saying that it does not comply with federal laws on freedom of religion.
According to Russia's TASS news agency, the country's justice ministry brought the case against the church, which was heard in the Moscow City Court on Monday.
Government officials wanted the church shut down, arguing that because the organisation had tried to register "Scientology" as a trademark it could not, therefore, be a religious body.
The Church of Scientology of Moscow was first registered in 1994, and in 2011 opened new extravagant headquarters in the city's Garden Ring, a mile from Red Square.
The city's court has now ruled that the organisation must set up a commission to oversee its liquidation, and this must be completed within six months.
Lawyers for the church said the it had "violated no bans", and that the justice ministry's representatives gave no serious reasons to justify its liquidation.
Interfax quoted representatives of the church saying that its closure violated the rights of "tens of thousands of believers".

"They had suffered 300 days of the church renting homes next to theirs," Cappuccio said of the Rathbuns. "They would watch and see when her husband left town and bother her. B.C. judge says there's evidence RCMP may be guilty of knowingly facilitating a terrorist act
Geordon Omand, The Canadian Press November 19, 2015
VANCOUVER — There is evidence the RCMP broke the law while conducting a high-profile terrorism sting and must hand over confidential legal documents, says a B.C. Supreme Court judge.
Justice Catherine Bruce has not yet ruled whether the RCMP entrapped John Nuttall and Amanda Korody into plotting to blow up the B.C. legislature in 2013, but she said in a ruling released Wednesday that the Mounties may be guilty of knowingly facilitating a terrorist act.
"In my view, the defence have raised at least a prima facie case that the RCMP officers involved in Project Souvenir were engaged in unlawful acts during the undercover operation," wrote Bruce, referring to the operation by its code name.
"There is a sufficiently close link between the illegal acts committed by the RCMP and the prosecution of the accused to support an abuse of process claim."
Nuttall and Korody were found guilty earlier this year of planning to detonate homemade pressure-cooker explosives on the grounds of the provincial legislature during Canada Day celebrations two years ago.
Their lawyers are asking the court for a stay of proceedings for reasons of entrapment, arguing the RCMP manipulated the pair into carrying out the bomb plot, which they say would never have happened without extensive help from the police.
Over the course of the investigation, undercover officers posing as jihadi warriors gave Nuttall and Korody groceries, cigarettes, bus passes, cell phones, phone cards, clothing, cash and a portable hard drive.

UPDATE: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that eight Syrians were taken into custody at the Laredo port of entry.
Two federal agents operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are claiming that eight Syrian illegal aliens attempted to enter Texas from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. The federal agents spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity, however, a local president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) confirmed that Laredo Border Patrol agents have been officially contacting the organization with concerns over reports from other federal agents about Syrians illegally entering the country in the Laredo Sector. The reports have caused a stir among the sector's Border Patrol agents.
The sources claimed that eight Syrians were apprehended on Monday, November 16, 2015. According to the sources, the Syrians were in two separate "family units" and were apprehended at the Juarez Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas, also known officially as Port of Entry 1.
Border Patrol agent and NBPC Local 2455 President Hector Garza told Breitbart Texas, "Border Patrol agents who we represent have been contacting our organization to voice concerns about reports from other agents that Syrians crossed the U.S. border from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. Our agents have heard about Syrians being apprehended in the area from other federal agents." Agent Garza added, "At this time, I cannot confirm or deny that Syrians have crossed, for security reasons."
Agent Garza further stated that in matters as sensitive as Syrians crossing the border from Mexico, it would be highly unlikely that federal agencies would publicize it or inform a broad group of law enforcement. He did say that Local 2455 is taking the reports seriously and that they "will be issuing an officer safety bulletin advising Border Patrol agents to exercise extra precautions as they patrol the border."

A newly declassified US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report confirms that the US and other western governments allied themselves with al-Qaeda and other Islamic extremist groups to oust Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad. They suspected the consequences of this tactic would lead to the rise of an "Islamic State."
Judicial Watch obtained the previously marked "secret" DIA documents from August 2012 which show these "supporting powers" wanted a "Salafist principality" to emerge to "isolate the Syrian regime". The goal to topple the Syrian dictatorship had such a high priority that these supporting powers continued to give comprehensive aid to opposition forces. The probability of a unifying of terrorist organizations in the form of a declared "Islamic State" didn't halt the plans. As the document shows, the intelligence community predicted the development of a "proxy war" due to the support of Assad's Syrian regime from "Russia, China, and Iran."...
Israeli Military Admits to Supporting Al Qaeda and ISIS in Syria
Ben Swann explores the origin of ISIS that has already been long forgotten by American media. Swann takes on the central issue of whether or not ISIS was created by "inaction" by the United States government or by "direct" action.
Through terrifying headlines and shocking videos, ISIS is being used as a tool to justify war in the Middle East and to cause fear and panic worldwide. No, this is not a "crazy conspiracy theory", it is simply the oldest trick in the book. ISIS was created by the very forces that are fighting it.
Ever since the creation of democratic nations – where public opinion somewhat matters – the political class is faced with a dilemma: War is needed to gain power, riches, and control, but the general public has a tendency to be against it. What to do? The answer was found decades ago and is still used successfully today: Create an enemy so terrifying that the masses will beg their government to go to war.
This is why ISIS exists. This is why the beheading videos are so "well-produced" and publicized worldwide through mainstream media. This is why news sources regularly come up with alarmist headlines about ISIS. They are used to serve the best interests of the world elite. The current objectives are: Sway public opinion to favor the invasion of countries in the Middle East, provide a pretext for "coalition" intervention across the world, and manufacture a domestic threat that will be used to take away rights and increase surveillance. In short, ISIS is yet another instance of the age-old tactic of creating a terrifying enemy to scare the masses.
"Moreover, as America becomes an increasingly multi-cultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstance of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat." – Zbigniew Brzezinski, The Grand Chessboard
About a decade after the invasion of Iraq (which is still a chaotic danger zone), most agree that the war was based on false premises. The public ultimately acknowledged that the "weapons of mass destruction" excuse abundantly repeated by George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld was a complete fabrication. Despite this fact, the U.S. and its allies (along with the Council of Foreign Relations and other elite international opinion groups) are still looking to extend war in the Middle East, with Syria as a prime target. While the public across the Western world was decidedly against an unprovoked invasion of Syria, a single media event turned the tide: A short video where a masked jihadist beheads an American journalist.
In Conclusion
ISIS has all of the marks of a CIA-sponsored jihadist group, created to facilitate war abroad and repression at home. Whether we look at the "divide and conquer" history of the Middle-East or the suspicious details regarding ISIS and the repercussions of its existence in the Western world, one can easily see how ISIS is a continuation of an obvious pattern. The most important question one can ask is this: Who benefits from the existence of ISIS and the terror it generates? What does ISIS gain by creating videos taunting the most powerful armies in the world? Air strikes? On the other hand, what does the ruling class in the Western world have to gain? Continuing to make money through war and weapons, taking control of the Middle East while supporting Israel, increasing oppression and surveillance on domestic populations and, finally, keeping the masses constantly terrified and under control.
In short, stoking panic around the world by provoking a state of chaos in the Middle East has been deemed necessary to implement a new world order. 'Isis', the Egyptian goddess and mother of Horus, is the name of the one of the most important figures for the Masonic elite . Their motto? Ordo ab Chao … Order out of Chaos.
Solution at the end of the show is to download the information, present it to your local politicians and sheriffs, then ask them what they are going to do about it! All on video then post it to YouTube!
Secret Pentagon Report Reveals US "Created" ISIS As A "Tool" To Overthrow Syria's President Assad Zero Hedge http://tinyurl.com/kk6wcxk
...The revelation from an internal US intelligence document that the very US-led coalition supposedly fighting 'Islamic State' today, knowingly created ISIS in the first place, raises troubling questions about recent government efforts to justify the expansion of state anti-terror powers.
In the wake of the rise of ISIS, intrusive new measures to combat extremism including mass surveillance, the Orwellian 'prevent duty' and even plans to enable government censorship of broadcasters, are being pursued on both sides of the Atlantic, much of which disproportionately targets activists, journalists and ethnic minorities, especially Muslims.
Yet the new Pentagon report reveals that, contrary to Western government claims, the primary cause of the threat comes from their own deeply misguided policies of secretly sponsoring Islamist terrorism for dubious
geopolitical purposes.

A member loyal to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) waves an ISIS flag in Raqqa. (Reuters / Stringer)
No sooner am I settled in an interviewing room in the police station of Kirkuk, Iraq, than the first prisoner I am there to see is brought in, flanked by two policemen and in handcuffs. I awkwardly rise, unsure of the etiquette involved in interviewing an ISIS fighter who is facing the death penalty. He is small, much smaller than I, on first appearances just a boy in trouble with the police, his eyes fixed on the floor, his face a mask. We all sit on armchairs lined up against facing walls, in a room cloudy with cigarette smoke and lit by fluorescent strip lighting, a room so small that my knees almost touch the prisoner'sbut he still doesn't look up. I have interviewed plenty of soldiers on the other side of this fight, mostly from the Kurdish forces (known as pesh merga) but also fighters in the Iraqi army (known as the Iraqi Security Forces or ISF), both Arab and Kurdish. ISIS fighters, of course, are far more elusive, unless you are traveling to the Islamic State itself, but I prefer to keep my head on my shoulders.
Rumors abound as to summary executions of ISIS prisoners without due process, but of course no one will go on the record to report such abuses of human rights. Anecdotally, we were told about a prisoner who was interrogated for 30 days but only said "Allahu Akbar" (God is great) for the entire month. "Wouldn't you shoot him?" they asked. One peshmerga gave an eyewitness report about five prisoners captured, questioned, and shot in the head. We spoke to various military leaders who said they didn't want to take prisoners, since injured bodies are often booby-trapped and kill approaching soldiers; for this reason the PKK has a take-no-prisoners policy. (The PKK, or Kurdistan Workers' Party, is the Kurdish separatist group based in Turkey and northern Iraq that is on the international terrorism list; in proving themselves indispensable in the fight against ISIS, they have caused a dilemma for Western governments. They are seemingly not so indispensable that those governments have felt compelled to oppose Turkey's recent bombing campaign against them.)
Another source told us of the futility of holding prisoners for their bargaining power: "With ISIS, there's no compromise, no negotiation they're not interested in prisoner exchange because they believe that they're better off dead." Whatever the truth of the behavior of the military and security services, the fact remains: ISIS prisoners are hard to find.
One evening we watch a documentary on BBC Arabic profiling Brig. Gen. Sarhad Qadir, the head of police in the Iraqi governorate of Kirkuk. He is shown policing the town of Kirkuk, personally patrolling the streets and houses, arresting people suspected of fighting for ISIS. Kirkuk, then, seems like a good place to start: At least there are prisoners there, shown by the BBC, no less.
And so my colleagues and I drive to Kirkuk from the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, Erbil, to meet Qadir. Despite the workload of maintaining security in this uneasy city of mixed ethnicity (mostly Arab, Kurdish, and Turkmen), rife with ISIS sleeper cells, he is welcoming, sending armed guards to bring us in from the highway to the city. We are served tea in his office, and he sits with us for half an hour before we are taken to the interview room with two colonels. (The week after I left the country he and other officers would be caught in a huge car bomb; Qadir was wounded for the fourteenth time in the service of Kurdistan.)
