All of this begs one to wonder: Just what it is the governments are afraid of? and WHY do they worry about it so much? Of course the answer to those two questions can be answered by just about anybody with an IQ of room temperature or above, as long as they have not physically achieved room temperature them self...
Pitchforks and torches went out of style a few hundred years ago.... but I suspect the P.T.B. are afraid of getting exactly that.

The United Nations privacy chief says that government spying is "worse than Orwell".
He's right ...
The editor of the Guardian newspaper said:
Orwell could never have imagined anything as complete as this, this concept of scooping up everything all the time.Edward Snowden said in 2013 that NSA spying was worse than in Orwell's book 1984.
